Classic Car Outings 2025

A wet and miserable Sunday morning for our New Year Run gave Norfolk members a great chance to show how hardy they are. We had nine Triumphs and three moderns at the Wymondham start of the run to Wroxham Barns, where we were joined by another big Triumph, a lovely sounding ‘65 Thunderbird, and those that didn’t want to miss out on a good social in their moderns. A great turn out of around 40 on what was a rather drizzly day. 

And so it begins! First outing of the year, set up ready for the influx of Triumphs and other classics for Drive It Day tomorrow. We’re the only ones on the campsite so it’s going to be a peaceful evening. The following day we were joined by plenty of Triumphs on the Drive It Day Treasure Hunt we had organised with Bircham Windmill being the lunchtime get-together.

A short ‘snagging’ trip with the bigger combo before some longer road trips in a few weeks, combined with a meeting to discuss details for the TSSC Weekend in September. Bonus – the sun was shining.

It’s been quite a while since we spent the day sitting in a field at a car show, and it was the first time we’d visited Earsham Hall. Kindly organised by fellow TSSC member Tim we managed to get 16 Triumphs in a row. With an antique shop and cafe along with a great showing of cars and made for a very pleasant day even if it was a tad chilly after the previous week.
